Food : Poppo Kanteen

Poppo Kanteen

Poppo Kanteen has its roots in a secondary school in Batu Pahat, where it first started its operations as a canteen. Believing that all students and teachers should have access to healthy food, the head of the canteen who is affectionately known as Popo set up her menu to look more like a restaurant’s menu than a canteen’s, a philosophy that she carries on into her establishment in Taman Segar. Their menu offers multi-cultural choices that suit the cravings of different individuals with its selection of Chinese, Malay, and Indian cuisine that are made fresh. Poppo’s signature dish, the Malaysian favourite nasi lemak, is crafted with fragrant rice, a set of side dishes, and a fairly spicy sambal; while other options like fried rice, charcoal toast with sweet and savoury toppings, and light snacks contend for attention.
Poppo Kanteen does not serve pork or alcohol on its menu and uses Halal ingredients.
